My computer freezes

Hi LTT Forums,

For some time now my pc freezes when I play games, downloading games and even when I'm just on my dekstop. It has been doing this for some time now, and I haven't really done anything about it, but I decided that now was the time to get it solved with your guys' help. When it freezes, there's no Bluescreen, no error. There is nothing that pops up, the only thing it does is that it only freezzes, and the screens are showing whatever I was doing before it froze, and I am unable to use my mouse. My PC even stays on. Every time it does this I force shut it, with just holding the power button down until it shuts off. When I turn it on again it works perfectly fine. Sometimes this happens 5 times a day and sometimes it happens 3 times a month. I have no idea what the reason is behind this, and I hope you can help me. Thank you very much

Ram: Kingston 8gb 

Motherboard: AsusTek P8Z77-V LX2

GPU: MSI GTX 670

HDD: 2TB Seagate ST2000DL003-9VT166

SSD: 111GB INTENSO

Are the games and OS installed in the SSD?

No, the SSD has Windows on it and the HDD has all my games and other things on it

Never heard of the SSD brand before, probably it's the culprit

 

Try reinstall Windows in HDD

A bad quality SSD can cause Windows to freeze, thus you can't do anything like gaming, web browsing etc

So for me to be able to fix it I have to buy a new ssd?

Probably, make sure you buy from a reputable brand

Or install Windows in HDD
