Any good audio visualizer programs?

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

Do you use Rainmeter? If so, the Monstercat visualiser is good if you want a levels style one. It does it off system sound though, so it doesn't just work for one program.

Here's a video of it working. I have it overlaying my music player on my right hand monitor which is rarely used for anything else.

I personally just use Rainmeter for the Visualiser. I never found a use for Rainmeter that made me want to keep it until this. It fits in well with my Music player too.

I like having all my media localised so I can access it all the time. For music, I have all of it on my phone (yay for MicroSD slots in phones), PC, Laptop and NAS. I've built it up over years so It would be a massive pain if I lost it.

Thank you! <3

No problem. I personally have mine set to always be on top (as the monitor it is on is almost always being used for my music player) and at 90% opacity, so it's pretty much invisible when there's a light background.

I have 2 monitors but my old one has the older Dvi connector so i can't hook it up to my Graphics card.

I can hook it up to the mobo but it doesn't detect it that way sadly :(

That's strange. Have you checked in the BIOS to make sure the iGPU is enabled? (often having a dedicated GPU will disable the iGPU)

EDIT: Also, which older DVI connector? Could you link me to your GPU, you may just need a cheap adaptor.

Ah, the monitor has VGA while the GPU has a DVI-D output. VGA's analogue, so you'd need an active converter to go from DVI-D to VGA.

Check in your BIOS to see if you can enable the iGPU (if your CPU has one). If so, you should be able to use the output on the motherboard.

Alright thank i check it out. Can this in any way slow down the system? I hope not because it would be sweet if i could use both monitors.

Technically, it will add more of a load onto the system so it will slow it down. However, it's nothing that will be noticeable.

For example, I use the equivalent (pixels wise) of 7 1080p monitors right now and there's no difference in performance for everyday use (or any use, really). What matters is what applications you're running, not how many screens they're on.

Yeah the IGpu was disabled and enableing solved the issue. Huge thanks again!

Is there any way to like Switch which screen is the first or second?

So my main monitor is on the right (center of the table) and I've put the other one to the left of it but i have to pull stuff to the right in order to put stuff on the left monitor.

Not a huge issue but it's a little disorienting hehe

Ps: I plan to have videos running on the older monitor through Chrome so that shouldn't pull much resources then.

Right click on the desktop and click Display Settings. From that window you can drag the monitors around to match their physical position. So if your right hand monitor is acting as the left, just drag it so that it's on the left right in the software.
