help me!!!!!!!!!

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

You can get the 1050. It will work. But you won't get the maximum performance out of that video card.

If you get the 1050 now, you will notice huge improvements compaired to what you first had. You can always upgrade your other components, to match your new video card.

Yep.

Unless I don't understand the concept of "bottlenecks", me thinks the answer would be NO. Fastest component = not a bottleneck.

He's right. The GPU will not bottleneck the PC. The CPU will. He's saying as the GPU will be the most powerful component, it will defo not be the bottleneck. It will be bottlenecked by the CPU though.

Let me get a screenshot, cuz them quotes will look strange.

revisit.png.5d797460bcb2d4b78bdaf11d45b84350.png

Topic starter asks if a GTX 1050 will hold back (all) the other hardware. Some person, lets call him "idiot", agrees. Answer should have been: NO. The GPU isn't the bottleneck, it has lots of headroom. It's being bottlenecked by the CPU (and maybe other components).

Another example of "meaning things":

Question:

Should I drive over a 1000 people just for them laughs (or views with YT currency items and all)

Answer from Idiot would be:

Yes.

Someone else (smart person?) would say:

Not sure, but it's a bad reason to run over 1000 people and killing them, just for a bit of pocket change. But maybe I am wrong.

Idiot replies:

Yea, no. You are wrong.

Other person says:

Smart person is right, you should not drive over a 1000 people.

Idiot replies:

Yeah, I meant to say: don't do it.

Point of this story: dafuq is wrong with this idiot. Say what you meant to say. Don't say something completely different, and try to take back words. I've been reading up on the term "bottleneck" for the last half hour or so.

Well if you can't afford a new PC, then forget about the 1050, get yourself a 750ti and the rest of the money you saved from getting the 750ti, get yourself a Q series processor. A Q6600 or Q8300 or something like that.

Since some people got their sensibilities hurt:

Plain and simple your PC is too slow to justify buying a 1050. You can still do it, but do know you will be loosing most of it's performance due to weak system overall. (slow cpu, slow RAM, storage probably Sata 2 = slow A.F.)

Here is an " As low as possible (budget) featuring intel and nvidia": 433U$S build.

We can discuss a few changes at will. Try to sell your current rig to recover some of the money spent.

Could shave a bit more off it if you need to (get a cheaper mobo, no SSD, 2GB card), but this is a good build and has some room to upgrade.
