Your motherboard should do it all for you, only thing you need to check is that its set as the boot drive

A while ago I created a topic to ask if I need to change any settings for an ssd in the bios. The answer was only if you have m.2. Recently I was going to get the 850 evo, but found the 960 evo on sale. So I spent 50 extra dollars to buy it. Now that I have it what settings should I change.

Check you manual as your board may disable some SATA ports as a result of using an M.2 drive, you should clearly see boot options in your bios.
