Kind of depends what you're using it for, but yes, it will make a difference. Most noticeably in production based applications such as encoding and rendering. It can also make a difference in gaming, mostly with minimum frame rates (though, that will also depend on the game and CPU). For everyday use, you won't notice a difference.
