This MOBO is a Biostar and not Gigabyte.

  1. Did you do the BIOS flash with the system running?....if you did then you maybe in for some bad news, Biostar say this

    Caution !!

We DO NOT recommend you to update BIOS while system is running. Updating BIOS improperly might cause system failure, please do not hesitate to contact us via E- Support if you need any assistane.

  2. Read this and ask yourself if you followed any of the three ways to do the BIOS flash.
  3. Did you use this BIOS version to do the flash with N78CM311.BSS?

First of all, I fixed it. Also, I wanted to say thank you for helping me, however what was causing the boot loop was other thing. It seems like the pins of the CPU were bet over and I straighten them up.

Hello everyone! I don't know if I'm in the right place, but I'd be needing some help with a customer rig. It's a 2009 AMD dual core (if you need the specs, I'll update it tomorrow) and when I cleaned it, it began doing this boot loop. I took off the battery, changed it, reconnected everything, tried to change the RAM sticks in different places and I don't know how to fix it.

PS: I did that because at first it will stay at the POST screen and while I waited the 15 minutes to put the battery again, I cleaned it.

  1. Did you make sure the new battery is the same voltage as the old one?
  2. Are you sure the all the removed cables are back in their correct places?
  3. Did you take the MOBO out?....if so check for ground issues with the stand offs.
  4. Try clearing the CMOS by using the jumpers.

  1. Yes, I did.
  2. In my opinion yes, but do you know if there's anywhere I can search to know with precision if I'm placing the pins of the bottom part of the MOBO right? The typo is too small and sometimes you can't see anything.
  3. I'll try that.
  4. I tried just using what I remembered watching one time, but I just made a research and I'll try again.

Thanks a lot for answering, man.

Your welcome.

I would need the exact PC serial number to check for the connections and layout. Sometimes with older PCs, just PSU can cause things like this to happen.

Have you also rechecked that the HDD is in the right slot?
