Laptop screen flickering

Hello, My laptop has recently begun flickering when sitting idle on the windows desktop and in some random applications. Does anyone here have some ideas that could help get rid of it. The model is Hp EliteBook Folio 1040 G1.

Ive tried having the screen at different angles as well with no luck.

Okay, so if thats not it then it might be your iGPU (if it is an iGPU) or your screen itself. Plug it into an external monitor and see if that flickers as well.
