Hey its me again:)
here are the new pictures, one in game, one with the light on and one with the light off.

Could you tell me if the blb and ips glow is bad enough to rma this monitor? As I am barely noticing it in game Im afraid of returning it just to get a worse monitor. Thank you guys so much for ur help!

The backlight bleed look pretty bad, but it may just be the picture. A lot of the time things like backlight bleed won't be accepted as a reason for a return. If you're not noticing it in everyday use, it's not too big of an issue.

If you don't find it annoying, I don't see why you would RMA it.

while i dont find the image annoying, the idea of me paying nearly 800$ for a monitor and it coming with quality issues is just bugging

Talk to Asus or your retailer and see what they say

do u personally have a 279qr, or any other monitor that uses the same display and can comment on if u have any blb-ips glow? i believe my retailer will rma it however i dont believe they will do it too often simply because of blb and therefore dont want to be stuck with a worse diplay

I personally use two VN247H (Not 800$ monitors ) and I haven't experienced it too much, though I don't really care too much for it personally. You could talk to them and ask them if it is normal for that display, and if they say it clearly is then RMA it.

Personally, if I paid that much for a monitor I would want it to be perfect... but we don't live in a perfect world so I don't think there's much you can do, I doubt they'd except an RMA because of BLB. 

 

PS. It's called the PG279Q not PG279QR
