Logitech G502 buttons broke on MacOS Sierra (Using Chrome)

they're not working. they do work in windows and in linux but not here. i do have logitech gaming software installed. this is the configuration

any fixes or do i have to go back to being archaic and using the browser back button? 

 

if it matters im on 10.12.5 9_9
