How do I tell what speed my ram is? Is it the Mhz on the ram? Like if your ram says 1600mhz is that the speed?

Yes, if your ram says 1600Mhz, that's it's rated speed.

however, RAM doesn't always run at it's rated speed. you can check task manager to see what speed it's actually running at.

that's the speed it is supposed to run at. but there are other things to consider, like latency.
