Help with Streaming PC

Go to solution Solved by Cyracus,

well, since you seem to be planning to do a gaming rig with ryzen I'd say build that and see if your current rig handles streaming well enough. If not it should at least manage until you can get a new streaming system running, or depending on the ryzen cpu you get try streaming from your gaming rig

Right, at the moment I have 1 pc running a xeon e3 1231 v3 with 32gb and an r9 fury x. I want a streaming pc.

Here are the options:

Gaming PC:

Upgrade to ryzen as faster memory speeds generally help gaming

Streaming PC:

Upgrade to ryzen

OR

Bring my current pc to streaming, and then get ryzen for my gaming pc

I'd say if you are going to be facing the possibility of streaming on the one machine as well as gaming(presuming your Xeon based system doesn't hold up to streaming), I'd look at getting at least a 1600 in the Ryzen system.

Well it's pretty much a given for a streaming pc. I want to have a completely flawless time. I could end up streaming at 4k (eventually). I've already organised a new mic and a mixer. But I'm just looking into the PC side of it. I'll probably do what you said @Cyracus. Issue with ryzen and xeon is that there's no internal graphics. So I'll have to get a gpu
