Problems with new build (Asus Z87-Plus, i5 4690k)

Hello guys,

I'm in the middle of building a system featuring a i5 4690k and an Asus Z87-Plus. Now I kinda got everything to work properly, except that the board always halts during boot after restart. The "checking cpu" LED lights up and the board halts until I do a hard reset. The weird thing is that the board only halts on restarts, not on regular boots from being turned off. The BIOS I installed is version 2103 - the latest they released, which should support Devil's Canyon chips. I read some articles on the web which didn't really help, since no one seems to have the exact same but only similar problems. 

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
