I have a Acer Aspire V5 Touch laptop which is not functioning. When i tried to boot up the system is says "No OS was found". What are the issues here? HDD spoilt or corrupted OS? if its a corrupted OS, what can i do to save it without going to the service centre.

If you don't have a warranty: This will probably void it.

If it's a corrupted OS, you can take the hard drive out and stick it in your desktop-> get your files off of it (it should just show up as a second hard drive).  Then stick it back in the laptop and re install windows.  When setting up a laptop you should go to the manufacturer web page and download the drivers + go to ninite.com and get an installer: stick them on a flash drive for a quick set up.

If the hard drive doesn't show up in your desktop, you're unable to install windows or it corrupts again: you may have a dead hard drive, and you'll either have to get a new hard drive or send it in for servicing.

If you have a warranty: Use it, that's what it's there for.
