Tried 2 different monitors. And both vga and dvi ports

What are your specs? Are there any error codes/beep codes on the motherboard?

I just noticed this. When i press the power buttoin, the computer turns on for a few seconds then shuts off. Then turns itself back on again in a second., Whats that? Never had that happen before

  1. What are your specs?
  2. Make sure everything is fully inserted/connected.
  3. Remove the CMOS battery (the thing that looks like a quarter) and then put it back in.
  4. If it still doesn't show any video, then unplug any drives, any PCIE cards, all but one RAM stick, and USB/other peripherals.

Your motherboard probably doesn't have a Kaby Lake compatible bios. So it won't work, you'll have to find a Skylake CPU or someone with a Skylake CPU to update the bios.

ive used plenty of h and b series from asrock and asus with kaby lakes. never a problem before. I doubt thats it.

But knowing my luck, ill call asrock and thatll be the problem

150/170 boards will work with Kaby Lake if they have a compatible bios. KL compatible bios launched in November 2016~, so at this point most 150/170 boards will have a Kaby Lake compatible bios, however it's not a guarantee.

is there a way to update it with no post?

Not without a Skylake CPU.
