Windows 8.1 Question

I am currently using Windows 8.1 (Update from Windows 8 via Windows Store). Now I plan to reinstall Windows 8.1 again but using a ISO I downloaded. Now my question is, will I be able to use again the key that I entered when I installed my Windows 8 on a Windows 8.1 installation?

Nope.

 

For some unknown stupid reason you cannot use a Windows 8 key to install a Windows 8.1 OS (tried it myself)

 

The only thing you can do is Install Windows 8 with the Windows 8 key and then re download/install the 8.1 update

But I can re use the same Windows 8 Key I have over and over again right? or does it have some limit?

It has no limit no, but you may need to do the automated activate by phone call to reactivate the serial again.

 

once you get to your desktop on the new fresh install

 

Press Win key + R to bring up the Run window

type in "slui.exe 4"

that will start the process for you
