I think 35" ultrawide is the equivalent to a 27" 16:9 monitor. So it'll look a bit ugly, but not as bad as it first seems. I could be wrong though. It could be the equivalent of a 24" 16:9 monitor in which case it won't be that bad.

And I'm too lazy to do the math right now to check which one it is.

I`m using 32" 1080p (regular 16:9) but its over 1m away from me and its ok. But at 50cm. its bit much, may be at 2K resolution will be more acceptable.

But that is it with 3" more than mine, so in the end I`m not really sure how your eyes will take it.

It's curved, would that help? Also it's probably 50 cm, give or take 5cm but that doesn't really matter too much

Well I recall watching more than a few people using large monitors at such short distance and no one of them complaining.

Btw we are not really crazy, for example Zeos is using 43"@4K at probably not more than 50cm. away from his eyes.

So yeah. :D

As for being curved - the idea is that your eyes should got the same distance from any angle therefore relief strain from the eyes. But I don`t have one to say something more usefull.

Aaah Zeos. Of all people :P That is 4K, 2560x1080 is a different story. Oh well thanks for the replies

The difference between 2K and 4K resolution is obvious, I used him as example for being able to tolerate such crazy screen area from this close.

And from what I have seen in many other people videos with ultra wide screens as for the one mentioned by you I draw the conclusion that should be good enough.

Still I`m not you nor I`m a doctor to daresay how your eyes will take it. :)
