Replacing the cooler

Built a new computer but I feel that I need to change the cooler, I don't have a 99% alcohol at reach does 70% will do the trick?

ive whipped my cpu down with a baby wipe before, i just made sure it was dry before applying thermal paste, i dont see why 70% would be an issue, as long as you dont get it everywhere.

If the water used in the 70% is purified and the surface is fully dried without residue of any type before applying the thermal paste, and only comes into contact with fully de-energized components, sure.

the thermal paste is 5 days old so it should be wet so I believe it won't be a problem, for the baby wipe I heard of a few who done that and even used just a paper towel for that, I just want to be on the safe side with that

70% is fine, i even used just tap water before, just make sure it's dry after.

as i say, as long as youre safe with what youre doing nothing bad will happen. can i ask what cooler are you using now and what cooler do you plan on getting?

I have now the noctua NH-L12 and I want to replace it with a 120/240 aio, the case is spec alpha
