PIA Installation Issue

Recently, I reformatted my PC using the inbuilt Windows thing. I disconnected my other drives before doing so. 

Postwhich, I reinstalled Chrome and Downloaded the PIA application, run it with a right-click and Run as Admin. Standard darkened screen and yes-no option later, a window opens and closes immediately, then nothing. What can i do to remedy this?

 

p.s. might be unrelated, but I can never seem to get my valley or heaven running again due to the msvcpdll file missing or something. Not as big issue, and tried reinstalling all manner of C++ for Windows again but not much works.

Nevermind. I used the wrong installer. 

 

TO anyone else facing the same issue, their website installer is the most updated version. Do not always use the one from your email that they send you. It's like using the display drivers from the included disc in a graphics card.
