I currently have a gtx 1070 and shopping for a new monitor. I've found the "aoc ag241qx" and wounders if it will work since I have an nvidia GPU. I know that i will have to turn off freesync but just wounders if it will work with my setup.

Another question: Can't I just turn Freesync of and use the "Display based" screen setting in my game to accomplish the same thing?

it should just work out of the box, freesync being non-functional offcourse.

something you *can* do is tell your nvidia drivers to make the display run at any framerate within its freesync value, but offcourse that's a manual (and static) thing.
