Keyboard backlighting over a PS/2 port

I have a Cooler Master Octane combo. It's keyboard doesn't work in the UEFI of my Asus H97M-E motherboard though. Was thinking of using a USB-to-PS/2 adapter for it. But if I do that, will my keyboard's backlighting be functional?

No, won't work. The lights need the 5V from a USB port.

Does you mum know you're here?

Any other way to make my keyboard work in the UEFI? I have to plug in another USB keyboard that I have lying around every time I want to go into the BIOS, or to select my OS. Its quite a pain

Well I've had backlighting from a keyboard work over a ps/2 port, but it didn't work smoothly so the end result for the OP might be flickering lights, no lights or no working keyboard depending on how much power goes through the ps/2 port and how much power the LEDs require to function (which probably isn't that much for a single colour (red) LED) and if there's any link between the lights and the keyboard that require full power for everything to function (I am of course guessing on this part).
