I have the clear otterbox symmetry currently but i hate the way it makes the back of the phone look. I like how it looks without a case much better. First of all is this case really all that protective, and second if im only worried about the back glass and front glass shattering would the official samsung clear case cover me? Or would there still be a possibility the back glass shatters through the case? And i also like the official samsung silicone case. Would that be a good option for protecting the back glass?

The clear rubber cases are some of the best for preventing the rear glass from breaking and the front glass if dropped on the corners. Obviously, if you drop it screen down and it hits a point rather than a flat surface, the front will likely break.

Personally, I don't like having cases or screen protectors on my phone as I feel like it ruins the look and feel of the device. I have a rubber case that also has a leather cover that flips over the screen that I use if I know I'm going to be doing something where I'm more likely to damage the phone. Other than that, I have my phone bare for every day and normal use.

I'm using a spigen slim fit cas3on my s8+.

Adds very little bulk. It won't protect a face down drop but it does the job.
