Anyone from the community searching for prime numbers?

I created a team LTT fans if you want to consolidate.

Not exactly Prim95, but we might as well say so... the program used (LLR) is the exact same as P95's, only with different input values.

You've got it the other way around: P95 is a prime searching program that just so happens to also have a stress test mode to assure your hardware is up to the taks of prime hunting.

Oh okay, i thought it was mainly stress testing.

With pointless i mean the search for primes with Prime95. Something like a Boinc grid community of course is a different story.

But a single PC trying so find a new Prime is pretty pointless.

You're not doing it on your own. Sure, you CAN do it if you want, but by default, the program connects to a server (in a F@H fashion) and gives you work that's beeing coordinated by the GIMPS group.
