Need Help Building A Custom PC

So I am trying to convert my old Mid-Tower, into something I can place on my desk in a smaller form factor. I am trying to reuse as many parts as possible as I feel some of them are pretty good still. 

 

What do I have. 

 

A Intel i7-4770k

24Gb of DDR3 , I am willing to change this to DDR4.

AMD Radeon R9 200 Series

 

I think these items are salvageable. 

 

Anyhelp on what sort of size tower I can get that is smaller and motherboard pairing would be helpful. I spend hours researching and just get lost.

find a mini-itx z97 motherboard and a small itx/htpc case like the node 202 or coolermaster elite 130.

You can use the i7, but keep the ddr3 as ddr4 isn't supported on either the socket or by the cpu. Which GPU exactly from the r9 200 series?

There are so many GPU in that, which one do you mean?
Also, what's your PSU? How many HDD and SSD do you have?

For small cases, I suggest Silverstone SG13/ML07/ML08 or Cooler Master Elite 110/130

if you can afford it, caselabs bh7 is a 30L atx case, you could just switch case and put it all in there.

You could just switch all the parts to a new case, Dont bother with switching to ddr4 as its not supported by your current CPU. You might want want to consider upgrading Your GPU but its not 100% necessary

dude, that's a hd 7950, not an r9 200 series gpu.

it's the 7950, looks like amd's software is reading it wrong.

If i'm not mistaken the 7950 was rebranded as a r9 280, which can cause some software confusion.

it's still a decent gpu for gaming.

I am currently using a acer predator x34. I do mostly custom game dev.
