dell xps 9560 not using gpu

Hello everyone,

 

I bought a Dell 9560 and I have been running some benchmark tests, from what I can see it is prioritizing the intel graphics rather than the dedicated 1050.

 

In the nvidia control panel I have told it to use the gpu for all of the programs. I have attached some screenshots of the two bench mark tools I have been using.

Do you have your monitor plugged into the gpu or motherboards I/O?

Ignore this part, didn't realise it's a laptop at first

 

And are you set to use PCIe rather than onboard as primary in the bios?

No monitor plugged in, I will check the bios now.

Yeah I realised after I posted that it's a laptop. I was thinking it was a prebuilt pc haha.

I tried looking at the bios but it's dell's own version of a bios and pretty confusing! Do those frame rates on 3d benchmark look a bit low for a 1050 gpu? That's what makes me think it's not working properly.

I have the same problem but I can't even open the Nvidia control panel...
