Dropping frames on youtube While Using Chrome

I'm experiencing this frame drop on YouTube while using chrome while watching videos on 720p where as when i watch videos on Microsoft edge there is no or maybe 1 frame drop.Can this issue be fixed on Chrome. These images are for reference.

Usually the remedy for this is to get a more powerful CPU. On my i5-6200U I can watch YouTube fine in Chrome without any frame drops but with my netbooks I can only watch HD videos in fullscreen in Edge. I believe Edge uses any built-in encoders your hardware has while Chrome does not (I'm not 100% sure on this, but I remember hearing something about it when I was researching it many moons ago).

 

EDIT: Nevermind about the hardware encoders, looking at your screenshots reminded me that Edge uses a different codec than Chrome which is why it performs better.

Try closing some background tasks to see if that clears anything up.
