electric lighter broken?

so i bought a zico dragon design electric lighter at a head shop,

 

it worked fine untill the battery died. after it died when i charge it with the included charger I waited for the red light to go green, when it did it still didnt start when i pressed the button,

 

is this common? or fixable? or is mine just defective

be sure to buy brand name battery as the no name generics will explode in your face n everyone will laugh at you.

 

Have you checked the heating wire element?
