Posted May 2, 2017 So I cannot fit a 3.5 inch hard drive in my Ncase M1 due to how everything fits. Are there any better options for a steam library, other than what I have now, a hard drive with a powered usb 3.0 connector? Posted May 2, 2017 I would personally go for eSATA as I find it's more reliable and basically functions exactly the same as internal SATA does. It's no faster than USB 3.0 for mechanical drives though, Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/774278-external-steam-drive-options/#findComment-9767989 Share on other sites
 Posted May 2, 2017 You could also setup some klnd of NAS solution. This would only work if your internal drive had enough space for the game you're currently playing though.
