Hey guys, I've been trying for a while now to oc my Ryzen build but I'm having a problem. First of all, my DDR4 Corsair Vengance LPX is having problems getting to 3200mhz, no matter how I approach it. 2933mhz is my current config on 1.35v. My motherboard is up to date (x370 MSI Krait Gaming). I tried the OC when I first got it, the tried it again after an update, and today again after the newest release, but no use. Am I never hitting that 3200mhz?

One thing I want to know about is the "CPU NB Voltage". I read somewhere that its the voltage of the North Bridge area of the MB. Could I raise the voltage to 1.2v to get those 3200mhz?

Brainstorm is intended here :P

Its still hit and miss at the moment with Ryzen, you are lucky, my ram refuses to post above 2666mhz (rated for 3200mhz) it's why I've been telling people to get low cas 3200 MHz (cas 14) as Ryzen plays nicely with Samsung B die - I suspect it will be fixed eventually, but remember, it's only 8 weeks old.

On another not I seen a guy try 3 different chips (1700, 1700X and 1800X) and out of the 3 only the 1700X allowed his ram to run 3200mhz - meaning it could be a limitation of the memory controller on the CPU

Hmm okay then. I'm just a little bit dissapointed. I saw the newest release of my MB bios today and got all hyped up about getting those 3200mhz. Well, I guess well have t wait. Side note the Ryzen has been doing great since purchase, this is my ONLY Cpu related issue
