Audio cable suggestions?

Hi, I have Marshall Major II Headphones. They are nice and comfortable. I been using them for a year now, but I seems to find lack of bass in them. I am using and extending cable from the back of my computer to the desk (male to female 3.5mm cable) I bought it for few euros locally. I recently did a check without the extending cable and with is. The difference was huge! Without the cheap extender cable the bass was loud and clear and as soon as I plug that cable the bass almost disappears... I need an extension since the headphone cable is not very long (I need 2m extension) what cable should I get? Because I don't want to waste money on cheap cables but also don't want to spend a fortune for an overpriced one... Also maybe I should get a DAC or is it not worth for these headphones?

Sounds like a really cheap cable. Does it happen if you try out another cable at a store to see if the issue is the same?

haven't tried any other, just the one on headphones. With only that cable everything works fine
