Microphone problem

The front audio cables on the S340 and S340 elite are not shielded, so they are prone to EMI and therefore to introduce noise. However I've never had any problems with them. To further complicate the issues a friend of mine (with a pretty much identical build) does experience noise on his front panel IO. We both have a normal S340, and we have even gamed on the same room with no avail. The only big difference is our motherboards, he has a B110 mobo (don't remember exact model and brand) and I have a Z170-a from asus. It could be your mobo, it could be EMI, or even common mode noise.

I have a problem, If I use the front pannel connector for my microphone, there is a lot of background noise but it woks, is it because the interference or is it because it is not a good one (nzxt s340 elite) or is it because there might be a cable that is not propperly pluged in?
