Hi!

I thinking about upgrading my pc, by adding another graphic card. But the space between will be REALLY tight. I do suspect that both cards will burn up if I add another one. But after a few Google searches, there was other forums users that said, if your pc has good airflow through out the pc it should work. I'll list my speccs and some pictues. I leave you guys to it, is it at all possible?

If you want to SLI, aim for a reference card.

Custom cards like that, where they exhaust air into the chassis rather than out the back, tends to run much hotter in SLI than reference cards. My old 1080 ACX ran at 84c while the bottom was running at 68c. Needless to say, the top ACX was far louder than any reference card I've ever had, and throttled considerably. This was with a 1 slot gap. It doesn't look like you'll have any gaps, so it'll be much worse in your system if your top card is a custom card.

I do believe you may be able to use of one of these: http://www.pcworld.com/article/3019142/computers/msis-lavish-yet-functional-sli-bridges-for-nvidia-gpus-are-so-ludicrous-i-adore-them.html

Optimally, I would attempt to purchase of a blower style fan card, as these fans will exhaust airflow towards there rear, & out of the chassis. Non-reference, or other style fan cards may not be able to provide of required 'cooling' as these will exhaust/exhale into the case.

Kind regards,

Wow had no idea there was such think avalible for purchase... ;)

So, if I get my hands on an identical gpu as my current I would be able run dual gpu, so there wont be any performance differences.

Using the SLI bridge with the built in fan may help, but the top card will still throttle if you get a custom cooler.

The throttling was so bad with my top 1080 ACX that I strapped a 120mm fan to the side of it, similar to the bridge that was linked earlier. It helped temperatures a little bit, but it was still choking out, running loud, and throttling. Remember, this was with 1 slot spacing on my system. For reference, my chassis is a Corsair 750D with 3x 120mm chassis fans and 2x 120mm radiator fans.

Having 0 slot spacing on a custom cooler isn't good. Custom cooled cards take the air inside the tower and uses that to cool the GPU. With 0 slot spacing, you are severely restricting the amount of air the fans have access to, even if you have an extra fan on the side to direct air to the top card. If you're going to get a second custom cooled card, then you may seriously want to consider getting a larger chassis and motherboard that allows for 2 or 3 slot spacing.

Yeah it would work but the bottom card should be a reference. It wouldnt look as good but if you have 2 open air coolers it well throttle
