I came up with this compact gaming rig build, for things like LAN parties, or just all around having a gaming setup that isn't the size of a yacht haha . Any recommendations on how I could make it better/better part combinations?

No reason. I don't prefer one over the other. I just picked that board out because I like it. Any better suggestions?

I would have gotten an ITX board that fit your needs (no recommendations, personally) and something like a Silverstone SG13 or a Dancase A4 SFX if you can afford it and find it.

Either mATX or ITX will work, it doesn't matter too much. And I was considering a Dancase and the Silverstone, but I like the look of the Core better.

Looks pretty good. Though with a small case, isn't a blower style cooler better? And for an ITX build, I'd look at getting on e of these for the case: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/graphite-series-380t-portable-mini-itx-case. It's specifically designed to fit a full GPU and PSU, and still be portable (Built in handle and everything).

Oh does the 1070 I picked not have one? I just picked the Zotac cause I knew it'd fit. And I considered the 380t, but I chose the 250D for a e s t h e t i c purposes

Alright. Also, should I switch out the AIO for a 212 Evo? Not gonna be overclocking, and the 212 is cheaper

 

edit: Nevermind decided on a Cryorig H7. Also, do they make blower style RX 480/580 cards? The 1070s a bit spendy tbh
