Posted April 27, 2017 My friend needs a new PC since his old single core sempron can't do anything anymore. The pc will be used for web browsing and watching movies, but he would like to be able to game on it as well, nothing crazy ultra, just playable. Pc will be connected to his 1366x768 TV. He has mouse and keyboard. We are working with a 350 euro budget. So I've come up with three PCs: 1) USED PC #1 i5 3550 MSI B75A 8GB DDR3 RX 460 4GB 500GB HDD 600W PSU 2) USED PC #2 i5 4570 ASUS H97-PRO 8GB DDR3 R7 270X 2GB 500GB HDD 750W PSU (CM GX series) 3) NEW PC Pentium G4560 Cheapest B250 motherboard 4GB DDR4 240GB SSD 500W Antec vp500 All three cost exactly 350 euros. The new system comes with an ssd, which would improve system responsiveness, but used systems might be a bit more powerful overall and come with discrete gpus. So as the title says, what to choose? So you think pentium will be a good cpu for a few (like 3-4) years to come? Personally I would say no for my own use but since the persons budget is low you don't get much of a choice. Are the used PCs pre built ones or are you looking at individual parts ? They are pre built, but in a sense that a person put all the components in a case and the system was used for some time, not the HP, dell kind of prebuilt.
