How well will this run games?

I want to upgrade my brother's system, a Dell Inspiron 3647. Currently, it has a Celeron G1820, 4gb of RAM, and the integrated GPU. My question is, if I throw in something like a GT 730/740, how well will it run games? The most demanding ones he will be playing are Just Cause 3 and Cities Skylines. His budget is under 150 CAD, but one thing to keep in mind is the system only supports LP cards. I don't know what wattage or form factor the PSU is, but the service tag for the machine is J4R5M02, and the model is Inspiron 3647. Thanks for the help!

Get a low profile GTX 1050 Ti. It will be better than nothing, but that Celeron will bottleneck things.

I can upgrade the CPU, too. I don't know if the PSU will handle it, though (again, I don't know the wattage, but the service tag of the whole system is J4R5M02).

@Jamiec1130 I found the same (I think) PSU on eBay, the listing says it's 220w. I'm not sure if that's true, though...

The 1050 Ti doesn't need too much power. It should be fine.

OK. I'm not sure if you saw my other post, but will it work with the Celeron with only 220w?

Cities Skylines will probably be a no no I'm afraid, it really crushes CPUs, but lucky it can be played with low FPS. That video should show roughly what some games would be like, but a GTX 1050ti with no extra power pins would be best for you, or him, your you(plural). I think it's the MSI one that is low profile and as no extra power pins.

Sure. I don't know how well it will run games until you upgrade the CPU though.

LGA 1150, and some dinky, stock-cooler looking thing. I don't think there are any fans other than the CPU fan, but there is a nice grill right over the CPU heatsink.

As far as cooling, there isn't much in the way of airflow so an i3 or i5 would probably overheat quick, if the PSU could even handle it.

Looking at a similar post here, I don't see much that you can do with a GPU that can do much of anything. Low profile, especially for cards that can run stuff have pretty thick cooling solutions to make up for the LP of the card. Maybe get a PCIe extender and find some way to mount it but beyond that, there sin't much. You also need a better CPU which is unlikely considering the PSU limitations as well as constricted air flow of the case.
