i have this http://www.dlink.com/se/sv/products/dir-505-shareport-mobile-companion and everything is set up and it shows up on the wifi tab. when i connect to it it says "connected" and it gives me full bars on the wifi signal. but when i actually try to use it for googling or anything it doesnt work. it says its connected but it doesnt work as wifi.. its useless. why?

Your local devices (computer, phone, tablet, etc.) will of course connect and show a strong signal because they're able to talk to the DIR-505 Shareport Mobile Router. Whether or not they actually have an internet connection to WAN depends on if the DIR-505 is actually setup correctly. It accepts a WAN connection via hardwired Ethernet, or can function as a Repeater, sucking in an existing Wireless network then rebroadcasting it. Keep in mind that if the signal is too weak for your laptop or phone to connect to, then this DIR-505 isn't going to do much better unless you move it closer to the originating WiFi access point.
