gtx 770 vs gtx 780

Go to solution Solved by Askew,

More CUDA cores, more VRAM/bandwidth, better performance in games, get the 780 for sure, yes you will notice a difference, a 770 is a 680 with faster memory, so your question isn't that far oiff asking 680 or 780.

It's worth the extra cash and I feel it will last you longer than a 770 before you need to upgrade, especially with the extra VRAM where upcoming games are concerned.

i planning my first build

i will use it for gaming, video editing and 3D animating.

for cpu i will go whit the 4930k.

my question is will i notice the performance difference between a 780 and a 770 and if so is it worth the extra €100,-

Thanks in advance

Yes, you will notice. Considering you're dropping a 4930k for video editing as is, you might as well get the horsepower of the 780.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

@Onidi if he was considering a 770he might not want to increase the price with over 300$

You might be right but I think the best for a 4930k built is the 780 ti it would give him beastly performance in everything he does
