yes the standard will be fine for a 970

and yes you can put both displays on the first card

If i decide to ge a used 2nd gtx 970 for sli, will the standard bridge work fine without bottlenecking ,cuz i saw some bridges that would connect on both SLI "fingers" on the two cards. Also how does connecting display ports work, can i keep both displays plugged in on the upper card on the motherboard or how has it to be done`?
