Hey everyone, I'm finally able to build a new computer after using a frankenstein for about five years. I have been saving and now can finally afford a shiny new toy before starting school again next semester! I've been mulling over builds and parts for a few weeks now and this is the build I've kind of settled on, however before I spend the money I'd love to get last minute opinions and compatibility checks to make sure everything looks good. Here is the list:

This build seems solid to me, the only thing is for that much money ... it's going to be an ugly brute. The Noctua cooler seems amazing but its just pretty hideous. I know looks shouldn't matter and mostly they dont to me but ... man lol.

So I was just wanting some last minute opinions. I plan to start ordering my parts tomorrow morning. Do you think I should pick a different cpu cooler? I was looking at Cryorigs R1 Ultimate and the R1 Universal since I much prefer their aesthetics, but the Cryorig compatibility list is not up to date and I'm not sure if they would fit my motherboard or block anything. I don't plan on overclocking the cpu until much later down the line, so I may not even need as beefy of a cooler, but I've been warned the 7700k runs hot. I also could honestly probably cut the mechanical drive, but I figured its good to have.

These are the other two cpu coolers in question

R1 Universal: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4UF1H68919&cm_re=cryorig_r1-_-13C-000U-00001-_-Product

Thanks in advance everyone, I appreciate everything!

they're the same, but I prefer black so.. go for black!

use https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/ to get cheap windows keys, maybe you can squish in a gtx 1080ti :P

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Also do you just plan to game, or are you going to stream and video edit and such?

I mainly plan to game, and plan to pick up a 1440p monitor in a month or so. I play alot but mostly mmos, really wanting to try Black Desert.

I agree with @Being Delirious. The Corsair Hydro water coolers are easily installed and come pre-filled. It will help you overclock a lot higher.

Hm I will have to take a second look at it then, I was just worried about it being less reliable than the standard air cooler.

Look into a 1440p 144hz monitor, I would say the 1080 is the sweetspot for that resolution.

No AIO coolers tend to be much better nowadays. Before they use to leak like after 5 months. At least that what was happening to me. But, should be fine.

Absolutely! I was initially just going for a 1070, but I figured since I've saved up now and have the money I'd rather snag a 1080 and get a nice monitor as well.

Gotcha, I was eyeing the h100i v2 when I started putting together the list weeks ago ... I'll have to decide, it will fit this case though which is nice

I find watercoolers much more organized then a Air Cooler.

Yeah, I was just mostly not wanting to ever have to bother with it, and I figured if down the road I wanted to overclock I'd invest in a more expensive model, something probably in the kraken line. If Cryorig had an up to date compatibility list I'd consider one of those because they aren't that ugly, but I dont want to gamble and see if it will fit.
