I haven't worked with installing a much older CPU with Windows 10.

 

According to some researching on this topic, the CMPXCH16b error, this problem happens because your CPU does not have support for the 'CompareExchange128' instruction set. Make sure you have the correct most up-to-date modified BIOS installed.

 

If all else fails, the other option, according to what people are saying, is to install Windows 10 32-bit -- instead of Windows 10 64-bit.

'CompareExchange128' is a mandatory requirement when trying to install 64-bit.
