Recent computer troubles :(

Hello everyone,

     Recently i have been having some computer problems with my rig. i went to go edit a video in primer pro and the program kept crashing. to the point that i could no longer edit the video. here are the specs of the pc:

Intel core i7-4770

MSI z87-g45 gaming motherboard

16gb ram

GTX 1070

i have 1 WD 1tb hdd with OS and 2 3tb WD drives running raid 1

i really haven't had this many issues before. Any ideas on whats going on?

I was considering upgrading os drives to 2 120gb ssds in raid 0 but will that help my performance issues or is there something more? today i had a BSOD :IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanks

You might also want to run a checkdisk.

thank you. i will try that. temps look fine but i haven't defraged HDD

Just the windows one - Right click a drive-->properties-->tools-->error checking or just type chkdsk into cmd

Also a warning: the checkdisk will take a fairly long time (several hours probably)

If it finds any errors, you'll want to consider replacing the drive.

nothing with errors and the defrag is done automatically. might have to do some upgrades in the future. thanks guys for the the help!
