How far away can the Blue Yeti be away from me?

I am wanting to get a Blue Yeti but I am afraid that the position that it will be in won't work very well. I am going to place it just next to my monitor because I can't find another place that won't get in the way of something. That means there will also be my keyboard with Cherry MX Blues between me and the mic. How will it handle this? Can it like zone into my voice if I angle it right or if I should find a new way to record my voice? Thanks!

Is this for voiceovers? If its for voiceovers you're going to need to bring it as close to your mouth as possible.  If its for VoIP, using PTT will solve most issues.
