Hello, I have some trouble with my computer.

My specs are Intel core i5 4670k 3,5 years old (everything is old except for the gpu and cpu cooler
Asus gtx 1060 6gb  3 months old

CPU cooler Corsair Hydro H60 Watercooler

Recently when I turn on the pc the cpu cooler fan goes crazy and the temperatures are 50+ celcius And sometimes it even goes up to 100 celcius. However it can work perfectly fine all of a sudden sometimes and my temperature drops down to 28 celcius. I thought the cpu cooler might be broken so I took it to the store and they gave me a new one. I used the cpu cleaning liquid to clear off the old paste on the cpu and then I installed the new cooler with the pre applied paste and now I'm getting 50 celcius and now below. If I open a game like World of Warcraft  it goes up to 70-80 degrees celcius. Before when everything was normal it was never above 50 degrees whilst gaming.  Even a few minutes after I close down the game the temperature stays the same.

Why does the cpu get so incredibly hot ????

How is it even possible that it can get this hot with the cpu cooler properly installed?

Dead pump, fans not connected, leaks, bad CPU temp sensors... Is it actually that hot? (can you touch it?) Do the fans spin up alot? Can the hot air go somewhere?

The pump is not dead because I just got a new one the fans are definately connected, I dont think its the cencors because yes its rreally hot and the fan is going crazy. Its over 75 celcius at all times now...... the hot air is being pulled out from another fan

The cooler is like a blow in. the cpu cooler fan blows air inside the case thruogh the radiator

I would also pot the fans on the otherwise, so they blow hour air out,  pushing cool air through the rad. You don't want hot air to get pushed in. Everything else will be hot.

Use a different cooler to eliminate the cooler being the issue.

ok I shut the computer down for 4 minutes and turnet it back on and the temperatures are perfect! maybe its like a virus or something `? ?

Temp changes should not be THAT big with a water cooler, since it takes time to heat stuff up. Unless you've got air inside your system, the temps should be gradualy raising or lowering.

If your (new) closed loop cooling solution is working fine, and you still have these temp spikes, it does make me wonder how good your temp sensors are... Doubt a virus can suddenly increase the actual temp of your cooling liquid.

I touched the cpu cooler where the cpu is located under yuo know and it was really hot but now its at 25 degrees and its not so hot anymore its quite cool actually. whilst its at 80 degrees it even says cpu usaeg 1% maybe a virus is doing hidden things in the background that is causing it?

Programming cannot control physics in the real world (at least in this case)

CPU: Intel Core i7 8700

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070

MOBO: ASUS Z370-F STRIX

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2133MHz

Of course it can, I mean imagine if a virus is overclocking the cpu incredibly much or something which makes it very very hot.

If it did that, it would overvolt and die. A virus cannot control UEFI BIOS settings, as it has multiple layers of protection to stop that. There are no overclocks being performed and you could easily see this in Windows.

What could the problem be then? Why does it work fine one day and the other day its 80 degrees? :o

Have you tried using a different cooler? The radiator might not be collecting enough cool air from the fans.
