OBS locks my FPS

Hi fam,

I've been using OBS for streaming and always used Vsync Tripple Buffered in my game settings. Yesterday, I formatted my computer and my settings must have changed and whenever I run OBS (While gaming at my framerate, no lag whatsoever) it locks my game at 60fps (the current fps that I am streaming at).

I am sure that that is a solution out there, I don't know what I am missing.

Well if you have Vsync in your games turned on, it is going to lock you at your monitors refresh rate...If you don't want your framerate to be capped, turn off vsync

I mean.. If you have VSYNC on the FPS caps at 60 99% of the time, doesnt it?

What do you want to fix here?

 

As far as I'm concerned you're trying to fix a 'problem' about having 60fps with a setting that locks it at 60.

turn off vsync

vsync is not the problem, the promblem is that whenever I open obs it locks me monitor (which is 165fps) to 60.
