heyo, its me again, and I hope this is the applicable forum to post this in (I honestly was not sure if this should be here or the build log/request forum but I figured here was better given I'm asking advice and not specifically after a build list of stuff, anywho, so I'm looking online for server racks and I had the inspiration today at work, that given the custom fab server chassis I'd been discussing with a buddy of mine might cost far too much money to have made (I think it would at least, never actually got around to getting back to the fabrication folks I contacted once I made the drawing of the case design) I had the idea, why not use an existing server rack cabinet as an open-air server chassis and secure the parts using horizontal braces and basically hand make a custom to order/build server cabinet/case from a pre-existing piece of sturdy server rack?? so I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions for how to secure the stuff and what not to make this work
