Can i use a GT7300 for a secundary VGA screen and still be able to game without any DX and driver issues?

Also, will it iven work on a 4x  slot?

i think it will work in a 4x slot and come on its not hard installing the drivers but it will probably work without them

btw if your cpu has a i gpu (intel cpus) or apu (amd cpus) you can enable that from the bios and use it to connect other displays

I don't know if you could run an extra monitor with an old GPU, but I still have an ATI Atombios as my only GPU!
