WINDOWS 10 ACTIVATION HELP!!

Hoads2047

OK so i was playing around in windows 10 and i managed to somehow delete my product key and now my laptop is saying that i need to activate windows.

I upgraded to windows 10 from 8.1 and i am running on an alienware 14 (2014 version) is there a way to get my key back or not??

Windows 10 ties itself to the motherboard bios and/or microsoft's activation servers. It is highly unlikely you deleted it through windows.

If its currently built as Win10, and logon is a Microsoft Logon (not a local account) then you can go to 'manage account' which links to website, and will tell you the real status of your key (called digital license last time i looked).

go to settings->accounts->manage my Microsoft account.

I can't seem to find it anywhere on the documentation for the laptop.
