3 questions.

What is the best motherboard out right now?

Can I put my current i7-3770 on that new motherboard?

(If I can put my old cpu on) Should I buy a motherboard if im not planning on getting a new CPU for another year or so? (I want a new mobo to be able to use NVMe)

1. some extreme workstation grade motherboard i guess

2. no you cannot, you are going to have to find a used motherboard thats LGA 1155 (and hopefully Z77 for overclocking)

3. No.. Just keep saving up that money, you might need it in the future

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

motherboards depend on your requirements, budget, and to a lesser extent location.

one mobo can be the best mobo for overclocking, but will probably be completely useless for a workstation, another may be a very show-off-y gaming mobo that works great with RGB, but lacks buisiness-specific features.
