Hello,

I see a lot of topic about 1700 and 1800X OC but not for the 1700X.

So, just post bellow your settings for your 1700X and, if you can, CPUZ and/or Cinebench:)

Actually my 1700X is at 3.8GHz, auto VCore for now (didn't find the time to search for the correct VCore)

I got for the best 1640 in Cinebench

Have a nice day :)

Yes , but the 1700 as a lower TDP so it should be less powerfull (in theory). After all, i see a lot of 1700 at 4ghz and no 1700x so

What are you talking about?

The 1700, 1700x and 1800X are basically the same chip. The 1700 has lower TDP with stock clock. When they OC, they are the same.

Oh ok i didn't know this. I was thinking that 1700 was different than 1700x and 1800x

Based on the product info at siliconlottery.com, the 1700 and 1700X both have similar success rates at at each clock speed from 3.8-4.0 GHz. Although their test voltage used on the 1700 was higher, this does not mean that all 1700's require high voltage to OC. My 1700 ran fine at 3.8Ghz at 1.3V on the stock cooler (which is surprisingly good and very quiet even at full speed).

Nice ! I will try to put my 1700x at 4ghz soon. I have an NZXT kraken x52, it should be enought i guess :)

It would be enough, it just depends on your processors limit, as it may hit the wall earlier, but it is definitely worth the shot as you won't know unless you try. Good luck!
