gsync limit fps

just got a 165hz pg278qr and have heard that you need to set the fps cap to a few below your monitor max rate. where do I set this fps cap? in game settings or in the nvidia refresh rate? or both? thanks

just enable g-sync

and oc you monitor to get higher htz

if the FPS goes above the monitor's refresh rate, GSync switches off

 

how you can keep GSync on at all times, couple of options:

• either enable VSync
• either cap the framerate in the game - some games allow you to, others don't
• or use RivaTuner to limit framerate to monitor's refresh rate minus 2 FPS to keep GSync on
