if the FPS goes above the monitor's refresh rate, GSync switches off

 

how you can keep GSync on at all times, couple of options:

  • either enable VSync
  • either cap the framerate in the game - some games allow you to, others don't
  • or use RivaTuner to limit framerate to monitor's refresh rate minus 2 FPS to keep GSync on
