  1. 1. What should I get (for gaming purposes)

    • Logitech (Team Blue)
    • HyperX (Team Red)
    • Steelseries (Team ???)

Title. My budget probably goes as far as Cloud II. There's no alternatives on the Logitech side as that's the only one the place I'm buying from stocks. I'd like a suggestion from the HyperX side. But my main choice rn is the G231. I could also go for a Steelseries Siberia. Just one of those 3. https://dynaquestpc.com/product-category/peripherals/speaker-headset-earphone/headset-headphone-earphone-audio is where I'm buying.

Bet you can't say my name 3 times fast.

Cloud Stinger has been doing flawlessly for me so far, been taking her out on a cold rainy night in stoke (i hope someone gets that reference w/o googling). Quality is amazing. I haven't found a reason to complain.

What about mic quality? Is it clear, does it have a mute button near the headset or on the headset itself?? I don't want my teammates to randomly hear me doing anything.

Dont expect a good quality sounds from a budget headset.

It may has some noise cancellation.

I prefer cloud core.. its just the old cloud 1 without accessories.

Impressive sounds, built, and comfort for the price.

The sounds stage is impressive as well, its wide even though its a closed headphones.

It is good, no one has complained. I did a recording of my own voice while I was in school with crowded people and sounded very clear. No mute button but you can mute it by lifting the mic up (rotate it up and it will mute). Also has a volume wheel to adjust. Take a look at the site, should tell you everything. Though if you can I would spend on Cloud II. Seems very decent. People been recommending a lot but not sure if it's worth the extra.

Not going to be a fan of noise cancellation.

You can have 3.5mm

And how is it shitty?

The surrounds sounds.

Its similar to razer surround the only difference is that u can toggle it on the go.

That is why u need a noise cancellation. u can just put the headset down move away from it and they wont hear anything from u.

No noise cancelling will eliminate background noise and only focus on your noise ( close to the microphone )
If u want complete silent then u need mute.

If u dont want your teammate randomly hear u doing anything u dont need to MUTE just leave ur headset and it will not picking up your noise cause u are far from microphone. they wont hear what u are doing.

And noise cancellation will makes your noise sounds more clear

@deXxterlab97 that USB shit the Clouds II's comes with has so bad audio quality and build quality. There have been plenty of threads just here on LTT to prove the point that the USB soundcard is made very poorly and most onboard today has better audio quality.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

So what would you suggest out of the 3? If the Cloud II isn't that good, the things that are fighting it out are the Logitech G231, and the Steelseries Siberias.

Cloud II is just overpriced; the normal clouds are the exact same headphones without the accessories. Out of the three, there isn't really any comparison; the Clouds are far better than the others. The only thing you're really missing with the Standard Clouds is the velour earpads, which are slightly more comfortable but don't sound as nice.

The Cloud II's also have an upgraded microphone, but I actually like the Cloud 1's mic better despite their higher noise floor:

Never had the hyperX stinger but I'm assuming it has directional sound like the cloud.

G231 has performed flawlessly for me not sure why you are saying it's a bad build.
